Art Washi Partition Door at a Luxury Hotel in Uruguay

Precious Pieces/Hiro Odaira was commissioned to create a full-height Art Washi Parchment panel “Mizushibuki, Water Splash,” to be used as partition door for Playa Vik; a luxury hotel in Uruguay, Latin America.
Playa Vik Jose Ignacio is a celebration of its majestic coastline; the beach at sunset has been described as the best on the planet.

Mizushibuki (Water Splash) is the visualization of a cascading waterfall emptying a body of water, and splashing vigorously on the rocks below. The Art Washi as a partition door was placed in the hotel’s living/library area.
