Wagasa – Japanese Style Paper Umbrella Restoration

Precious Pieces restored Wagasa – a Japanese style paper umbrella. Our craftsman started the process by removing old torn paper and thoroughly cleaning each bone of the umbrella. Then, we needed to match the original color of the faded paper.

After carefully crafting all parts with Washi, including flexible joint parts, the umbrella was finished with Japanese traditional durable waterproof clear coat. Now, the old Wagasa looks brand new and works perfectly.
