Authentic Japanese Lacquer on Washi
Japanese Lacquered wood also known as Urushi has been around Japan for thousands of years, being used on wood, metal, baskets, pottery, and all sorts of other materials. It's notable when hardened for its ability to ward off weathering among other potential damages. Washi's combination with lacquered wood adds durability and new textured sensuality to the material. The effect is often times compared to that of aged wood in rich toned colors. This material is truly a fine work of art.
