Each coating is designed to protect the parchments longevity, allowing the material to breathe as well as safeguard it from stains, environmental pollutants, and water damage. The fire-repellent is exceptional when exposed to fire, forming a thin layer of foam that retards flames; therefore the spread of fire and smoke is greatly lessened. Both applicants come in a clear coat that is easy to apply, without detracting from the parchments original texture and artwork.
